A Tuesday Recipe - A regular simple meal.

Grilled pork steak served with crushed new potatoes and green vegetables

I am a little short of time at the moment but we all still need to eat and healthily too. Well this is rather like the curate's egg - good in parts!

1 grilled pork steak
new potatoes boiled and crushed with butter, basil & spring onions
garden peas
haricot beans sauteed in butter!!!!!!

Now I'm not going to insult the intelligence of my wonderful followers by telling you all how to cook this meal as it is self-explanatory. The good points are that it is simple, tasty and quick. I mean the meal takes about 25 minutes to prepare cook and serve and its tasty.
If you want to make it more healthy then omit the butter from the beans and trim the fat off the pork steak.
You could do similar stuff with lamb, beef or chicken pieces and there is really no excuse for no eating well.

A Haricot Revolution

Did I see one of those beans move on that plate?
Couldn't be so - they are just vegetables.
They've been boiling for twenty minutes
Must be dead by now!

Have you noticed how they are all so alike
But they grow hanging from a plant
How on earth or elsewhere did they get there?
Hanging around so innocently

Are they going to take us over in a friendly revolution?
Did the butter make them squirm in pain
Will we be able to stop them?
Haricots on every plate.
