42 years ago in 1972 Christchurch burned down. Two years later the above building was opened on 22/09/1973. So this Sunday is our ruby anniversary and as part of the celebrations we have had a champagne reception with the local mayor, which is to be followed up by a variety of activities over the weekend culminating in a service led by the Bishop of Wakefield.
The church has been decorated with flower arrangements created by groups that use the building and I have included a selection below.
