Writing - Celebrity doesn't last forever!

Perhaps the correct title should be more about celebrity lives as their work lasts after the mortal embodiment of that celebrity has shuffled off this mortal coil.

James Last (also known as "Hansi", born Hans Last; 17 April 1929 – 9 June 2015) was a German composer and big bandleader. His "happy music" made his numerous albums best-sellers in Germany and the United Kingdom. His composition "Happy Heart" became an international success in interpretations by Andy Williams and Petula Clark. According to British Hit Singles & Albums (2006), he is reported to have sold in excess of eighty million albums worldwide.

Ron Moody (born Ronald Moodnick; 8 January 1924 – 11 June 2015) was a British actor, best known for his Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated performance as Fagin in Oliver! and as the wizard Merlin in Disney's A Kid in King Arthur's Court.

Sir Christopher Frank Carandini LeeCBE, CStJ (27 May 1922 – 7 June 2015) was a British actor, singer and author. Lee initially portrayed villains and became best known for his role as Count Dracula in a sequence of Hammer Horror films. His other film roles include Francisco Scaramanga in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), Saruman in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001–2003) and The Hobbit film trilogy (2012–2014), and Count Dooku in the final two films of the Star Warsprequel trilogy (2002 and 2005).

Three significant people all to have died within a few days and yet because of their work, whether it be music or storytelling, their names will live on for many years to come. This is also true of lesser mortals and even with a small audience after death life goes on.
