Writing - 10 things we didn't know a week ago

Definitely a mixed week of the important and the frivolous.

Image result for Friday

1. Friday is the most expensive day of the week to buy a plane ticket.

I suppose there is some logic in that many people get paid at the end of the week.

Image result for Landmarks

2. Directions starting with a noticeable landmark and ending with the destination are easier for people to understand.

If they didn't end with the destination that could be a problem.

Image result for text message

3. Text messages that end with a full stop are seen to be less sincere than those that don't.

Seen by who? I always end texts with a full stop and I'm always sincere.

Image result for miserable or stressed

4. Being miserable or stressed will not increase your risk of dying.

I'm sure there are some researchers would have serious problems with this statement.

Image result for follow the rules

5. Employees who say they love following the rules are the ones who are most likely to be fired for breaking them.

Of course - they know what they are breaking.

Image result for liars

6. Liars are more likely to make eye contact.

Depends how good they are at it.

Image result for feral cats

7. There are more than 20 million feral cats in Australia.

Plenty of room for them.

Image result for 3d games

8. Playing 3D video games could help treat age-related memory loss and dementia.

A matter of opinion - some would say the opposite.

Image result for class system

9. Most Americans aren't middle class any more.

Logically speaking this has to be true because if 'most' of them were then the standard distribution curve would be centre heavy and they'd be short of someone to take out the trash.

Image result for Japanese med school

10. Japan's medical schools have more corpses than they know what to do with.

Where's the body of evidence for that statement?

God Bless
